Long-term partners lift the food region higher

Oi!s ambition is for Trøndelag Food Festival and Trondheim Brewery Festival to be the best of their kind in all of Europe, nothing less. To succeed, the festivals need partners who are in it for the long run. Oi! is very happy to have both private and public partners involved, who will lift the food region even further through a long-term collaboration.

SpareBank1 SMN

SpareBank1 SMN has been the main collaborator for the Trøndelag Food Festival since the festival was first organized in 2005. They were also an important supporter when the 2020 pandemic hit and we could not gather 200,000 spectators in Trondheim. The solution was "Trøndersk Matfestival - Et sted nær deg (Trondheim Food Festival - A place near you)", which invited the public to the homes of the producers around the whole of Trøndelag - Together we make things happen! SpareBank1 SMN is a main partner for Trøndelag Food Festival and Trondheim Brewery Festival. Read about SpareBank1 SMN here.

REITAN

When the pandemic was at its worst and the national support for events open to the public had to wait, REITAN AS got in touch. They wanted to support Oi! in the work to further develop the festivals and Trøndelag as a food region. Today, Britannia, Rema 1000 Midt-Norge and E.C. Dahls Eiendom, which are wholly owned by REITAN, are important players in the collaboration with Oi! REITAN AS is a main partner for Trøndelag Food Festival and Trondheim Brewery Festival. Read about REITAN AS here.

Trøndelag County Municipality

Trøndelag County Municipality has been involved with Oi! since the start in 2005. In addition to being the largest owner of the company, the county municipality contributes with regional development funds in projects that further develop Trøndelag as the country's most important food and experience region. One of these projects is Trøndelag Food Festival, which is an important sales arena for food and drink producers on both a late and small scale.

Innovation Norway

Because Trøndelag Food Festival is one of the country's regional food festivals, it receives support from Innovation Norway, through the program for agriculture and reindeer based growth and development. Read more about how innovation Norway supports sustainable food production here.

Trondheim Municipality

History shows that Torvet in Trondheim has always been an important sales arena for food and drink. During the excavations that were carried out before Torvet  was restored, the archaeologists found, among other things, a soy jar and a Sami knife from the 15th century. Trondheim Municipality contributes support to Trøndelag Food Festival.

Norwegian Seafood Council / Godfisk.no

The Norwegian Seafood Council is a state-owned limited company under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, financed through a mandatory fee on the export of Norwegian seafood. During the Trøndelag Food Festival, the Seafood Council supports the “Ung Matfest” (Young Food Festival) and the stage area with funding. This collaboration is showcased by promoting Godfisk.no in these areas.

Norcod

Norcod is a producer of premium farmed Snow Cod, with operations in both Trøndelag and Nordland, and its headquarters in Trondheim. Cod has been an important resource for Norway for hundreds of years, and we believe this collaboration will be a valuable addition to the Trøndelag Food Festival—both by offering a greater variety of products and by highlighting an important raw material.

We’re excited that Norcod will have its own stand at the festival, where you can taste their Snow Cod, both regular and smoked.

The Nor-Fishing Foundation

The Nor-Fishing Foundation is a non-profit organization established and operated on behalf of the Norwegian seafood industry. The foundation promotes development in the marine sector through various initiatives and is responsible for regularly organizing international trade fairs in Norway. During the Trøndelag Food Festival, the foundation supports activities in the children's area, “Ung Matfest.”

Retura TRV

Retura offers complete waste management solutions for businesses, with a circular economy perspective. Festivals generate a lot of waste, so our collaboration with Retura is important for both us and the environment, as they ensure optimal waste handling for a cleaner and more sustainable festival!

Fagtrykk

Fagtrykk is the largest graphic company in Central Norway, focusing on smart solutions, high quality, and reliable delivery. Fagtrykk is our regular printing partner, producing everything from diplomas and menus to banners and tent signage for the festival. We have a strong year-round partnership with Fagtrykk, with especially high activity just before the festival.

Stiftelsen Norsk Mat

Stiftelsen Norsk Mat is an independent organization that contributes to increased diversity, quality, and value creation in Norwegian food production. At the Trøndelag Food Festival 2025, the foundation will have a strong presence with stands for both Protected Designations (BB) and the Specialty Label, in addition to hosting activities on the stage area in Munkegata. This is done to give BB and Specialty products a clearer, unified presence when engaging with the public.
